What’s your favorite zombie comic/graphic novel?

Ours, hands down, I believe?

The Walking Dead.

It’s… 10 or so 50-page volumes. Great characters. Masterful story arc. Freaky zombie bits. Who could ask for more?

A&E agrees with us because it’s about to become a TV series.

They seem to be lifted from a VHS made in 1992, but video #1 mentions the Department of Homeland Security, so this is clearly a hoax. YET EVEN HOAXES CAN BE VALUABLE.

Bad decisions in horror movies are not so far from real life, sometimes. I saw William Saturno give a lecture a few years ago. He got into all the papers because he found some Mayan Murals. I loved his description of how he and his guides managed to get stranded and almost-dead in the Guatemalan jungle in the process:

“How one gets two days into the woods without food or water is, you make a bad decision. But that’s not enough, because there are opportunities to turn back, and you simply don’t. You need to make a series of bad decisions. In fact, you need to be committed to making bad decisions again and again and again, and then you need to put your faith in other people who also make many, many bad decisions. It’s not easy, but we did it.”

Hide on Day 1 on either side of non-zombie Emergency routes (these streets DO NOT have the red sign: Zombie Emergency Route).

Do not hide on either side of the street with the red sign: Zombie Emergency Route. Zombie hunters will clear (shoot  anything that moves) on those streets first.

After a street is fully plowed to the curb, feel free to escape via this street, even if Zombie Emergency rules are still in effect.

Fully plowed means the street is completely cleared of zombies all the way to the curb. Zombie hunters may come through more than once, so make sure that it is fully plowed to the curb before escaping.

But this one’s my favorite. It’s called The Last Stand.
